in reply to: MIME.HTM in the converted PDF April 16, 2013 at 12:58#29285
Tomorrow we’ll address MIME-related issues of DXL conversion. I’ll let you know.
in reply to: Stop displaying dynamic data when user saves the document April 17, 2013 at 12:18#29306I use Adobe reader 9.5 version
in reply to: Stop displaying dynamic data when user saves the document April 17, 2013 at 12:31#29307I am afraid, Reader cannot save edited copies of PDF. Well, it can save annotations to PDF, but collected PDF form data can be only exported as FDF. Please correct me if I am wrong.
in reply to: How to add sent date in the header of the document April 18, 2013 at 11:55#29294You are right, PostedDate is represented with a bit different XML structure. Below is a solution (a section at the bottom)
... <xsl:for-each select="/d:document/d:item/d:rawitemdata[@type='502']"> <xsl:if test="../@name='From' or ../@name='SendTo' or ../@name='Subject' or ../@name='CopyTo' "> <tr> <td valign="top"><xsl:value-of select="../@name"/>:</td><td><span style="text-transform: base64"><xsl:copy-of select="text()"/></span></td> </tr> </xsl:if> </xsl:for-each> <xsl:for-each select="/d:document/d:item/d:text"> <xsl:if test="text() and (../@name='From' or ../@name='SendTo' or ../@name='Subject' or ../@name='CopyTo' )"> <tr> <td valign="top"><xsl:value-of select="../@name"/>:</td><td><xsl:copy-of select="text()"/></td> </tr> </xsl:if> </xsl:for-each> <xsl:for-each select="/d:document/d:item/d:textlist/d:text"> <xsl:if test="text() and (../../@name='From' or ../../@name='SendTo' or ../../@name='Subject' or ../../@name='CopyTo')"> <tr> <td valign="top"><xsl:value-of select="../../@name"/>:</td><td><xsl:copy-of select="text()"/></td> </tr> </xsl:if> </xsl:for-each> <xsl:for-each select="/d:document/d:item[@name='PostedDate']"> <tr> <td valign="top"><xsl:value-of select="@name"/>:</td><td><xsl:copy-of select="."/></td> </tr> </xsl:for-each>
in reply to: How to add sent date in the header of the document April 18, 2013 at 16:12#29295Hi ,
I tired this but it works for some file but for some of the files the date is printed with junk characters.Attached the sample DXL and converted PDF which prints the junk characters. Also I want to display date in below format 4/18/2013 9:37 PM.Is that possible?
in reply to: How to add sent date in the header of the document April 18, 2013 at 16:37#29296Yes, with some XSL coding a date formatting is possible.
The “junk characters” also represent a date, but it is base64-encoded. After decoding it will appear as “Wed, 4 Apr 2012 10:43:16 +0300”. In the case, a changing of the format to “4/18/2013 9:37” is more tricky (requires some changes in pd4ml.jar)
I’ll adjust the XSL stylesheet for you, but normally you need MaxAttention support option for such level of support.
It will take few hours.

in reply to: Stop displaying dynamic data when user saves the document April 19, 2013 at 06:21#29308Hi, We are not editing the PDF. We have created a form field in html and after converting html to pdf we are populating the form field with first date of the current month dynamically using javascript when ever pdf is opened. This is working fine.
If user saves the pdf document we want the form field to be populate with the date when pdf is saved .
In simple terms we want the pdf form field to populate dynamic date when ever pdf is opened and till the pdf is saved locally .
Plz correct me if my approach is wrong.
in reply to: Troubleshooting April 19, 2013 at 11:48#26838The text in the email is running off the page. Also the converted PDF has email content repeating.Sample file attached. Please help to resolve the issue.
in reply to: Troubleshooting April 19, 2013 at 13:51#26839Hi PD4ML support,
I have emailed you a file in which I could not extract the PDF inside the DXL.Your help is greatly appreciated.Since the DXL file size is bigger I am not able to attache the file here.
Thanks.in reply to: Not able to extract a PDF attachment from DXL File April 19, 2013 at 18:10#29322The attachment is not embedded, as it is not referenced from the document (there is no corresponding
DXL tag). An XSL section, which lookups and embed not referenced attachments needs to be coded in the stylesheet.
in reply to: Text running off the page and same email content repeating April 19, 2013 at 19:32#29316In order to make the text fit the horizontal space try to increase pd4ml.setHtmlWidth() parameter.
See https://pd4ml.com/cookbook/pdf_page_formatting.htm for more details.
The content is repeating, because the MIME message includes two email versions: text only and HTML.

in reply to: Out of memory error while converting a dxl file April 22, 2013 at 09:35#29215Please provide an update on this issue.
in reply to: Text running off the page and same email content repeating April 22, 2013 at 09:49#293171. If I increase the pd4ml.setHtmlWidth() parameter , this problem will be cured only for this file or for all the DXL files?
2. I don’t want two email versions. Is it not possible to suppress the HTML version? Why only for specific files has this porblem?
