    I forgot to put the html in a code block:

    lHtml1 = "<html><body><div style=\"font-weight:bold\">Header for only the First page</div></body></html>";
    lHtml2 = "<html><body><div style=\"font-weight:bold\">Header for all pages, except the first</div></body></html>";

    Hello PD4ML,

    I checked and the reason it doesn’t work with us, is due to our use of html/header/body tags in the header.
    If I remove those it is shown on the correct pages. I will check if this got any consequences in our resulting pdf.

    Html1 = "<html><body><div>Header for only the First page</div></body></html>";
    Html2 = "<html><body><div>Header for all pages, except the first</div></body></html>";

    PS: I made 3 topics Yesterday and this is the only one I can find. My other topics where in licenses that the link to de site license isn’t correct, and then in technical that the resourceprovider isn’t working with the old API.
    Do I have to recreate those or are they somewhere else ?

    I reviewed a number of TTFs with “Character Map” Windows utility, and it seems #9723 (U+25FB) glyph is quite rare in TTFs. I have only found it in DejaVu family of fonts.

    So try to modify the font-family directive like that:
    from
    “font-family=Verdana,Geneva,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif”
    to
    “font-family: Verdana,Geneva,’DejaVu Sans’,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif”

    (Make sure DejaVu font is installed and indexed, and do not forget to substitute ‘=’ with ‘:’ in the property definition)

    Thanks, my bad for using a = instead of a :.

    I’am using the pd4fonts.properties file for loading all the fonts in the windows/fonts directory, but now I want to load this extra font DejaVu Sans from a different directory. We install our program by scripts and installing a font in windows could be a hassle especially if it would require admin-right to modify the fonts in windows.
    So do you perhaps got some tips for configuring a extra font in our own folder, or an easy way to install the script in Windows.

    As a feature request it would be nice if pd4ml would fallback to a own font that contains all symbols instead off printing a questionmark. If i’m not mistaken it’s what the browser are already doing.

    Regards,
    Jeroen

    After testing installing the font in Windows isn’t an options for us.
    Is there another font/solution we can use that’s standard available on a Windows Server.

    I wandered why I didn’t find this problem sooner, and found out this problem is introduced between version 3.85fx6 and 3.91.

    I followed your advice and used TTF’s.
    I added the following code when creating the pdf.

    lPd4ml.useTTF("D:\Jakarta\tomcat-FEATURE2\server\webapps\ROOT\WEB-INF", true);

    You can use the following to generate de pd4fonts.properties file:

    //Through commandline:
    java -jar pd4ml_demo.jar -configure.fonts c:WindowsFonts "D:Jakartatomcat-FEATURE2serverwebappsROOTWEB-INF"

    //Or by code:
    PD4Util.generateFontPropertiesFile("c:WindowsFonts", "D:\Jakarta\tomcat-FEATURE2\server\webapps\ROOT\WEB-INF");

    And with this changes is everything now working again.
    Thank you for your help.

    in reply to: Vertical text writing-mode:tb-rl not working 3.9

    I was using the writing mode on the first row off a table, and in the generated pdf’s the columns with the writing mode where empty.
    This wasn’t caused by pd4ml but by me for using the writing-mode on a div inside a table, which results in the first column being 1001px height ( in IE11). What I can understand would be difficult for PD4ml to convert to pdf. After applying the writing mode to the td the height went normal and the PDF looked like 3.85fx6 again.

    Thanks for the help.
