in reply to: CSS selector parts using :last-child / :last-of-type seem to get ignored June 13, 2023 at 14:29#36615
Thank you for your response.
Since last-child selectors are an important part of modernish CSS, we would appreciate if it could be done.
If PD4ML evaluating the entire document on-the-fly so that it cannot check the neighboring elements readily or drop a flag on previous elements when further siblings are detected?
Thank you!
in reply to: PD4ML 4 Content lost on page break (generating PDF from HTML, page footer used) February 28, 2023 at 17:17#36096Thank you!
Is the HTML best posted here or in the support ticket?About FA6/WOFF – yes, we do use WOFF/WOFF2 fonts, so such effect would be possible. Please let me know if we can supply you an example for this, too. Those effect were observed in two separate usage cases.
Thank you, best regards
Viktorin reply to: PD4ML 4 Content lost on page break (generating PDF from HTML, page footer used) February 28, 2023 at 16:40#36092Hello,
we tried using the 4.1.16 snapshot, unfortunately this effect stayed (plus, our FontAwesome 6 glyphs that worked in .15fx2 became question marks).
A screenshot of the page break effect is attached – “Eiweiß” is present in HTML and missing in PDF.
Do you have any ideas – would out HTML be useful for an examination?Thank you, best regards

We’ll keep our eyes on the v4 progress and see what it does on the document in question 🙂

Yes they are – and that’s why I explicitly asked about inline styled ones. They are, I believe, quite a common thing.@zefer – is there any chance that inline LIs are supported – or that their support can be fixed?
Thank you & best regards!

in reply to: EmptyStackException in 399 fx2 on floated online-blocks November 24, 2016 at 08:46#29962This one is now gone in the current build. Thank you!
I have sent a few more samples, somewhat less isolated, per email.in reply to: EmptyStackException in 399 fx2 on floated online-blocks November 21, 2016 at 11:39#29958Apparently I wasn’t logged in last time. Is there any chance on a preview build so we can see how it behaves in our bug cases?
Thank you!
in reply to: ClassCastException with endless loop in PDF page generation November 7, 2016 at 13:45#29933The original problem seems gone now, but we have notice a very similar one, during the simplification of the HTML for another exception (I’ll post that one separately).
I have a HTML that causes an endless loop around the following stacktrace:java.util.zip.Deflater.deflateBytes(Native Method) java.util.zip.Deflater.deflate(Deflater.java:444) java.util.zip.Deflater.deflate(Deflater.java:385) org.zefer.pd4ml.pdf.f.o00000(Unknown Source) org.zefer.pd4ml.pdf.c.õO0000(Unknown Source) org.zefer.pd4ml.pdf.c.ÓÓ0000(Unknown Source) org.zefer.pd4ml.pdf.PD4Device.startNewPage(Unknown Source) org.zefer.pd4ml.PD4ML.super(Unknown Source) org.zefer.pd4ml.PD4ML.render(Unknown Source)
-> Since the simplification of the HTML is a time consuming task and multiple different exceptions occur at different simplification stages, I would much prefer to send you the HTML in a less stripped-down form without publishing the entire load.
Is there somewhere I could send you the HTML causing this problem?in reply to: Local converter 398 fx4/fx5 crash with a NPE October 14, 2016 at 10:28#29891Is there any chance of progress with this one? I just tried with fx2, the issue seems unchanged.
Previously, I tested fx1 on several computers in several paths (complete innocent containing paths too, no dollar signs etc.) and the NPE seems to be omnipresent.Could you please have a look at it? Having the standalone mode running again would be great help for tracking down some “paragraphs and lists in inline-block spans” rendering issues fx1 seems to be having. I’ll gladly report those to you then.
Thanks+cheers,

in reply to: Local converter 398 fx4/fx5 crash with a NPE August 31, 2016 at 09:19#29890Thank you and sorry for my late reply. It didn’t occur to me to check back here earlier.
The debug version now yields the following error:java.lang.NullPointerException at java.io.File.<init>(Unknown Source) at org.zefer.pd4ml.tools.PD4Browser.guessExecutable(PD4Browser.java:222) at org.zefer.pd4ml.tools.PD4Browser.<init>(PD4Browser.java:215) at org.zefer.pd4ml.tools.PD4Browser.showGUI(PD4Browser.java:1132) at org.zefer.pd4ml.tools.PD4Browser.main(PD4Browser.java:1116)
Cheers, Viktor
in reply to: Local converter 398 fx4/fx5 crash with a NPE August 19, 2016 at 11:03#29888I did, adapted tie viewer paths to the following
viewer.executeble=c:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat Reader DC\ReaderAcroRd32.exe dir.viewer=c:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat Reader DC\Reader
and I’m still getting an exception, the only difference now being the “unknown source” instead of a line number at the deepest level:
c:tempvakkk>java -Xmx1024m -jar libpd4ml.jar java.lang.NullPointerException at java.io.File.<init>(Unknown Source) at org.zefer.pd4ml.tools.PD4Browser.o00000(Unknown Source) at org.zefer.pd4ml.tools.PD4Browser.<init>(Unknown Source) at org.zefer.pd4ml.tools.PD4Browser.showGUI(Unknown Source) at org.zefer.pd4ml.tools.PD4Browser.main(Unknown Source)
There is only “viewer.executeble” though, no “rtf”.
