Please send the issue report to helpdesk pd4ml . com and also supply HTML (+CSS, if any) with it, so we can reproduce the issue on our side.

Typical situation: the server only knows its own human-unfriendly corporate network name. But you access this server under a human-readable server alias, configured somewhere with your proxy, in the client DNS server, IP settings, in the user profile, etc.

So your browser can resolve this alias to an IP, but the server (and the applications running on it) cannot. It cannot connect to itself due to insufficient DNS configuration.

This may not be your case, but you can check if you log in to the server and try to ping it by the problematic DNS name or try to load the CSS URL from there.

As an experiment, try to replace the server name in the CSS URL with the server IP address or with 127.0.0.1. You can also add the DNS name to server’s hosts file

    Try the API call pd4ml.setLogLevel(255)

Hi! A possible explanation is that the source HTML has unavailable external links and it waits until the socket times out. Once the resource is marked as unavailable in the PD4ML cache, it no longer tries to download.

But it is only a guess. More input needed too find out the real cause of the problem.

As a first step, try enabling logging and look at the STDOUT output of PD4ML – this will allow you to see which phase the delay is occurring in.

    Hi Eugene,

PD4ML is not an open source product. Access to the product source code is provided to PD4ML source code licensees only.

Hi! Did you check both your accounts?
We’ve just sent you a reminder email with the right credentials

and the library has stopped working

Hmm… The license is perpetual, so there should be other than the licensing reasons

Hi! Unfortunately jakarta version build is not fully automated and still requires a manual merge and a repeating or some human-involved QA steps. Synchronizing the Jakarta version is on our short-term roadmap, but before that we were going to release v4.0.20fx3.

If it is critical for you, we’ll publish v4.0.20fx2-jakarta early next week

Hi! The PD4ML v3 binaries do not require a license file or activation code, so I’m afraid there is no way to get a license number from an existing PD4ML deployment. The license maintenance expiration was checked during the download of the v4 JAR.

PD4ML requires a pd4ml.lic file or an activation code provided via the API.

Can you share with us any information that might help identify your license record: company name, email domain, approximate purchase date, etc.?

You can write directly to sales pd4ml com if you do not want the information to appear in the discussion thread.

    Hi Alena,

the issue is known. This is specific to the current implementation and is planned to be refactored for the next support release in about 2 months.

Hi! It seems the purchased license is assigned to another account. I’ve just forwarded our copy the license email with the account credentials to admin@ account.

You can always transfer a license from your account to another account of your choice.

Hi! PD4ML licenses are not tied to a specific version number. You can use any, including v4.0.19, as long as it was released before your license maintenance period expired.

Hi! It seems you are trying to call PD4ML v3 API in PD4ML v4.
See https://pd4ml.com/pd4ml-v3-to-v4-migration-guide/#api-calls-map for the API changes

The current build partially solves the problem: it ensures that it does not create duplicate textareas.

In our test cases, “page-break-inside: Avoid” helps, but due to the inline nature of the textarea element, there may be nuances. If it does not go to the next page, try wrapping the textarea in a <div> and applying a style to it

We’ll try to fix the issue in one of the forthcoming snapshot builds
