We spent quite a lot of time on the issue, but were not able to reproduce it. Probably the current development state implicitly solves the problem.
We are going to release new beta on Monday. Please give a try to it and let us know if it changes anything.
OK I look forward to trying the new jar.
in reply to: enableImgSplit(false) breaks header? June 25, 2012 at 19:15#29049The updated version already available for download.
in reply to: Anybody had problems with PD4ML on Lion for Mac? June 26, 2012 at 12:39#28970Try to unpack and temporarily to use the attached ss_css2.jar
Please note – it is an inconsistent version of the lib – for troubleshooting purposes only.
in reply to: Zero-width spaces June 28, 2012 at 05:00#28922Has support for zero width spaces been included in any recent release (similar Thai text issue occurring here)
in reply to: General questions / FAQ June 28, 2012 at 17:49#26746So i am new to the pd4ml and am currently looking to it for a print solution to an existing android app. Currently we are passing a bunch of variables and dynamically creating an html string (not url) we would like to then use pd4ml to convert the HTML string to a pdf and save it to the sdcard.
quickly scanning the documentation i don’t see any reference to using html as a string as oppose to a file. can someone point me to a demo of such use?
in reply to: android html String to PDF June 28, 2012 at 17:53#29050You need to wrap the string to a StringReader and trigger a corresponding render() method. If the HTML has relative references, you’d need to pass base URL parameter.
Actually I wonder if PD4ML works on Android at all – we never considered it as a target platform. We would appreciate if you share your PD4ML+Android experience with us.
in reply to: HTML/CSS rendering issues June 29, 2012 at 07:32#26747All of the examples below produce underlined content with at least one additional space added at the end of the content and the extra space is underlined:
Other Directorships and Officer Positions
Other Directorships and Officer Positions
Other Directorships and Officer Positions:
Other Directorships and Officer PositionsAny solution to this?
in reply to: HTML/CSS rendering issues June 29, 2012 at 07:39#26748The following markup gets an extra space added before the content when the pdf is created:
Any solution to this?
in reply to: CSS overflow:hidden being ignored June 29, 2012 at 10:47#29011Thanks for the response. Was this intended to have been fixed in the recent release (v3.8.0fx5)? The release notes refer to overflow:hidden, but only in reference to footers, and the above html still seems to render the same way with the new package as it did before.
in reply to: CSS overflow:hidden being ignored June 29, 2012 at 11:14#29012Should it render somehow else? See attached
in reply to: CSS overflow:hidden being ignored June 29, 2012 at 12:04#29013Apologies – it turns out that I hadn’t properly refreshed the package and the old version was still being used. The above html now renders as expected – many thanks!

in reply to: Underlines get extra spaces June 29, 2012 at 15:36#29053My typo: I used v380fx5 too.
Could you please send us the HTML document, causes the problem, and its PDF conversion result? Hopefully there is no sensitive data in it.
